Apiario APIMUNDI (Cortegana)
We started the trail with two great monitors who showed us the native flora and the importance of the orchards in the mountain way of life, mentioning the importance of responsible consumption.
We arrived at a field full of oaks, cork oaks and strawberry trees where we had a talk of awareness and sensitization. And we learned in a fun and entertaining way.
- The beekeeper's job, its importance and the different working tools.
- The importance of the bee in the conservation of the environment due to its pollinating role.
- The biology of bees.
- The inhabitants of the hive.
- The different threats to bees.
- Possible solutions to protect them.
- The resulting variety of bee products.
After the talk we did the beewrap workshop. And then we visited the apiary to observe how the bees live and organize themselves and try to find the queen.
We ended with a series of cooperative games so that the creatures understand the importance of teamwork as well as the bees, forerunners of the collective good.
Finally we said goodbye by taking the trail back to the source of the Chanza River.
Thank you @apimundi_beehappy for your dedication and professionalism. It has been a visit of great pedagogical value with a great impact on kids and toddlers!
