The fantastic cinema of Segundo de Chomón

A revival of the work of this early 20th century film pioneer, combining silent film screenings and live music. Chomón is especially known for introducing magic and fantasy into cinema. Montjuic offers a delightful concert made up of previously unpublished musical pieces, with a wide variety of instruments: cello, clarinet, mandolin, melodicas, guitars, metallophones and ukulele, as tools that help to create an atmosphere very similar to when silent films were accompanied by live music.
